HOUSTON, Texas—June 19, 2017—B&W Energy Services was recently awarded a contract on Dow Chemical’s Gulf Stream Poly B Project in Plaquemine, LA. B&W is providing Aqualazing Services at the site, which includes a significant scope on multiple systems as part of this polyolefins project.
“This project is a big win for our AquaLazing Division,” said Greg Rascoe, B&W Energy Services’ AquaLazing Division Manager. “We’re proud to once again provide services for Dow Chemical, especially on such a monumental project,” Rascoe added.
This project award is B&W Energy Services’ third contract with Dow Chemical. It serves as an extension of their first project with Dow Chemical in 2016 at an adjacent facility to this unit, and a second project at the Dow Chemical Deer Park facility earlier this year. B&W Energy Services will also be doing work at the Dow Chemical Texas City facility in 2017.
Dow Chemical contracted B&W again to provide superior cleaning services because of their previous performance, results and quality, as well as B&W Energy Services’ performance at the Sadara Project in Saudi Arabia where services were performed for Fluor Constructors at that Dow facility.
The Dow Chemical Company’s Gulf Stream project is part of their investment in performance plastics capacity.
B&W Energy Services scope began in the second quarter of 2017 and represents B&W’s continuing work on the series of Gulf Stream projects in the US Gulf Coast region and other Dow projects around the North America and the World.
