HOUSTON, Texas—Feb. 22, 2016—B&W Energy Services continues to expand its project portfolio with three new project awards with Zachry, Valero and Invista. Each of these projects will bring forth continued growth and exposure for B&W.
Zachry contracted B&W to provide air blow, steam blow and pigging services for the Chevron Phillips Chemical Sweeny Brownfield Complex Expansion in Sweeny, Texas. B&W previously completed an engineering study at the facility, which led to an execution of the work for the ethylene expansion. The Sweeny complex is one of the world’s largest single-site ethylene facilities and is capable of producing roughly 12 million pounds of ethylene per day.
B&W was also awarded a contract with Valero to perform steam blow services for the St. Charles Refinery expansion project in Norco, Louisiana. The St. Charles plant expansion will include the construction of a large methanol unit, which compresses natural gas into liquid. This is B&W’s second project at this plant, as they originally completed a scope of work at the site in 2013.
Additionally, Invista contracted B&W to provide steam blow and AquaLazing services for the boiler #1 rebuild in Victoria, Texas. This project will be the fourth boiler job B&W has completed for Invista.
These projects allow B&W to provide value-added services to each client, strengthening client relationships and further increasing their project portfolio.
