At B&W Energy Services, safety is a top priority. Our dedication to safety extends beyond the daily job requirements, and because of such dedication we’ve been given a number of safety awards over the years. Recently we received the 2014 CPChem Contractor Safety Excellence Award and we couldn’t be happier!
This award recognizes our team and their safety dedication at Chevron’s Nylon 6,6 facility in Saudi Arabia. It’s given to contractor companies who achieved outstanding safety performance, meeting the following criteria:
- For a Facility contractor, be at or below the 2014 CPChem Corporate-Wide Total Recordable Incidence Rate (TRIR) Safety Target of 0.27 for Combined Employees and Contractors Performance; OR,
- For a Major Capital Project contractor, be at or below the 2014 Major Capital Project Contractor TRIR Safety Target of 0.13; AND
- Not have experienced a Recordable Injury/Illness that resulted in in-patient hospitalization with Medical Treatment Beyond First Aid at a CPChem/Affiliate Facility or Major Capital Project site, AND
- Not have a Corporate Deviation in place at the time of identifying recipients.
This accomplishment is a big win for B&W and our employees. We are proud of the work our teams complete both in the field and at home. Great job everyone!
