HOUSTON, Texas—Nov. 14, 2016—B&W Energy Services recently announced their latest project awards with Weyerhaeuser and Exelon this month. Both projects will contribute to B&W’s success as the leading organization providing pre-commissioning and commissioning services in the new construction industry.
B&W’s project award with Weyerhaeuser includes Steam Blow services at their Port Wentworth Paper Mill in Port Wentworth, Georgia. Engineering for the project is underway and the services will commence in early 2017.
“This is the latest of several projects we’ve completed for Weyerhaeuser and they have come to rely on our experience and consistent performance,” said Chris Oakley, Director of Sales and Engineering at B&W.
The Port Wentworth Paper Mill project involves replacing a turbine at the plant, and is another example of B&W’s diversification across industries.
Exelon contracted B&W to provide Nitrogen Blow services at the Colorado Bend Energy Center in Wharton, Texas. With rapid mobilization required for the project, execution is already underway and is expected to complete this month. B&W is performing their Nitrogen Blow service on the plant’s underground fuel gas line that leads into the plant.
“The Exelon project was an added service execution for the plant owner because of our ability to mobilize quickly,” Oakley said. “We’re excited to work with one of the leading power producers in the nation.”
