2021 Highlights
Major power plant project
We’ve had a lot to celebrate this year, like the Jackson Generation Energy Center project we’re working on in Elwood, Illinois. The new 1,200 megawatt, combined cycle power plant is located just South of Chicago, and will generate enough power to support 1.2 million residential homes. For this project, we’ve performed AquaLazing and air blowing services, and we’re providing lube oil flush and steam blowing equipment in support of the startup. We’re grateful to be once again partnering with Kiewit Power Constructors to provide our unmatched pre-commissioning services and contribute to another successful plant startup.
A more robust team
Another reason to celebrate is our new engineering manager, Dustin Dell, who joined B&W Energy Services in Q4 2021. An accomplished, forward-thinking and licensed professional engineer, Dustin has experience leading every aspect of engineering. He has particular expertise in leading key functional areas, mentoring and developing engineers and implementing best practices. All of which will help ensure B&W Energy Services maintains the highest levels of client satisfaction.
Prior to joining B&W Energy Services, Dustin was the engineering and sales manager at Aitken Manufacturing. He has additional experience working for Enventure Global Technology Inc., AFL Telecommunications, Halliburton Company and Weatherford.
Dustin earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from West Texas A&M University. In addition, he holds his Professional Engineers License (P.E.) in Texas and South Carolina.
Unmatched engineering services
This year, we also hired more in-house drafting experts, as part of our ongoing commitment to unmatched engineering services. Instead of outsouring drafting, we do it all in-house. Our skilled team of drafters work directly alongside our project engineers, improving project efficiency and producing the high-quality results that we’re known for.
Other significant projects
Throughout 2021 we completed several projects that have helped us and our customers to finish this year strong. We

The biggest reason
As we wrap up 2021 and look to 2022, we are reminded once again that our biggest reasons to celebrate are our dedicated professional employees that endured many days away from their loved ones due to the COVID travel restrictions. We would also like to thank our clients for trusting us and allowing us to help get us all thru this safely which strengthens our bond with our customers for years to come. We thank you, and we wish you a joyous holiday season and a prosperous, hope-filled new year!
