Saudi Arabia
In 2015, B&W Energy Services was contracted to provide pre-commissioning cleaning and project management services for the Sadara Project in Jubail Industrial City, Saudi Arabia. The Sadara chemical complex spans 13 square kilometers and was, at the time of the project’s execution, the world’s largest chemical complex ever built in a single phase.
Sadara, which means “in the lead” in Arabic, boasts an impressive 26 integrated world-scale manufacturing plants producing more than three million tons of products each year.
B&W initiated services with rapid mobilization of Aqualazing personnel and equipment from B&W’s yard near Jubail, which allowed a quick start date to support a fast-paced commissioning schedule. B&W’s success with cleaning a wide range of systems using Aqualazing led to requests from the client for B&W to provide additional site services.
B&W mobilized additional engineering and project management resources to oversee other pre-commissioning services and cleaning vendors performing work onsite.
B&W is proud to have been selected to support this flagship chemicals project in Saudi Arabia.
