B&W Continues To Expand Project Portfolio
HOUSTON, Texas-May 26, 2015—B&W Energy Services has seen huge success during 2015, as they have been awarded a number of new projects going into summer. Each project, described below, builds on B&W’s reputation for being the best in the industry.
“We’re excited to announce these new projects as we continue our strong momentum into summer” said B&W Sales Director Chris Oakley, “these projects are important, and have come about as a result of the positive relationships we’ve built with our customers and the quality of services they have come to expect from B&W.”
ArcelorMittal – B&W has been contracted to provide continuous steam blow services at the Indiana Harbor facility in East Chicago, one of the largest steelmaking complexes in North America. Engineering services have already commenced and the field execution will begin in late June.
Xcel Energy – B&W is providing steam blow equipment and field supervision to the Rocky Mountain Energy Center in Colorado. The project was awarded mid-May and the contracted services will begin early June.
Lauren Engineers & Constructors – B&W was sought out to provide engineered oil flushing services for the Ector County Energy Center, a 350MW simple cycle peaking power plant in West Texas. The project required rapid mobilization of B&W equipment and personnel to support an aggressive cleaning schedule. B&W looks forward to expanding its services at the Ector County Center as the project progresses with construction.
Invista – Invista contracted B&W to provide pre-commissioning support at their Nylon intermediates manufacturing plant in Victoria Texas. B&W has supported Invista during two previous turnarounds, and will provide exhaustive steam blow services during the upcoming work next month.
New York University Medical Center – B&W will be providing engineering and continuous steam blow services at the NYU Langone Medical Campus. This project is part of a major Combined Heat and Power (CHP) upgrade program at the NYU Campus Energy Building. B&W’s engineering services have concluded and the field execution phase is expected to happen during late summer.
