HOUSTON, Texas—March 6, 2017—B&W Energy Services is proud to announce their latest contract with CB&I on the Eagle Valley CCGT Project in Martinsville, Indiana. The facility, owned by Indiana Power & Light, retired the Eagle Valley Station in 2016 with plans to construct a 650 MW combined Cycle gas facility at the same site.
B&W’s relationship with CB&I is relatively new and an exciting opportunity to expand their combined cycle power project portfolio. B&W will provide their engineered Steam Blow Services and AquaLazing services at the new facility. The engineering phase began during the fourth quarter of 2016, and execution started during the first quarter of 2017.

IPL selected CB&I to provide lump sum engineering, procurement, construction, startup and commissioning for the Eagle Valley 2x2x1 GE 7FA.05 671 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant in Martinsville, Indiana with mechanical draft cooling tower, two F technology combustion turbines, heat recovery steam generators with duct firing, and one reheat steam turbine.
