HOUSTON, Texas—December 29, 2015—B&W Energy Services was recently awarded contracts with Shell in Rotterdam, Netherlands and Air Products in Alberta, Canada. Both of these projects will contribute to B&W’s international success as the leading global provider of engineering, pre-commissioning and commissioning services.
“We’re excited about the opportunities on both of these projects to continue building on our international résumé and contribute to B&W’s momentum as the global leader in this industry,” said Chris Oakley, Sales Director at B&W Energy services.
B&W has completed the engineering scope for Shell on their Pernis Refinery expansion and will begin steam blow services in February 2016. The Shell Pernis oil refinery is the largest integrated refinery and chemicals manufacturing site in Europe with a capacity of 404,000 barrels per day.
In November 2015, B&W shipped equipment to support engineered steam blow services at Air Products Canada’s new Hydrogen production plant in Edmonton, Alberta. The project will be completed prior to the start of 2016. B&W completed similar services at Shell Canada’s adjacent Scotford facility earlier in 2015.
