When her QA/QC manager left unexpectedly, Sheri Swann did the only thing she knew how. She got to work to pick up the slack. Someone had to step up. Why not her? That’s just the kind of person Sheri is: someone who takes initiative when the chips are down.
As warehouse lead, she oversees six team members and ensures all equipment is sent out quickly and accurately. No project can be set in motion without the warehouse team, and in turn, the gears of B&W Energy Services would stop turning without Sheri.
She’s also an avid learner eager to acquire new skills related to other departments within B&W. From asking to go on a chemical clean with technical advisors to dabbling in drafting, Sheri loves to go the extra mile, and B&W supports her every step of the way.
“When I thought I wanted to do a bit on the engineering side, I mentioned it to one of my bosses,” Sheri says. “They actually went to the owners about it. The owners came back and said, ‘Hey, Sheri. We heard you wanted to do this. We can get you started!’”
“B&W has your back 100% for any opportunity that you ask about. They’ll always find a way to help you.”
In her spare time, Sheri loves to cheer on the Dallas Cowboys (much to her coworkers’ chagrin).
We’re grateful to have Sheri on our team, and we appreciate how she goes above and beyond in everything she does!
