As B&W Energy Services’ sphere of influence grows, our global expertise grows alongside it. Over the past few months, we’ve deployed teams to the Philippines to assist with two important power plant projects for the country: the Kauswagan and Masinloc Projects—we consider this a crucial and impressive point of pride as we continue to develop a presence in this market.
The Kauswagan Thermal Power Plant will be among the biggest power generator in the Mindanao region, with an installed capacity of 2,730.1 MW once completed. B&W worked closely with both the Owner and the EPC Contractor to ensure that key milestones for the first unit are achieved in early 2019, and that power is delivered to the grid on schedule.
Where does B&W come in? The Plant Owner requested our expertise for the Kauswagan Project to perform an engineering review and onsite consulting during the critical path steam blowing activities. B&W support brought additional assurance to all stakeholders that the steam blows would be performed safely and effectively.
In addition to the Kauswagan project, B&W introduced Aqualazing technology to a new client in the Philippines on the Masinloc Thermal Power Plant Project in the Zambales Province. In late 2018, our team began their work on AquaLazing services for the Masinloc Project to demonstrate the schedule savings capabilities of Aqualazing service to steam lines prior to steam blowing. Steam blowing is a critical mission for the project, and B&W’s Aqualazing service helped bring schedule predictability aimed at ensuring that critical project milestones would be met.
In the Philippines and beyond, B&W Energy Services recognizes each project’s needs and provides the very best equipment to ensure that our clients save time, cut costs and start work with their timelines intact and at top of mind. Additionally, B&W provides our clients with a competitive advantage thanks to our strategic, global presence. That’s creating real impact.
