The success of pre-commissioning and maintenance cleaning projects often depends on the quality and readiness of the equipment used out in the field. Historically, much of the industry relied on piecemeal setups that required crews to assemble multiple components before work could even begin.
This is why, upon our founding in 2001, we made it our mission to develop a fleet of purpose-built equipment designed specifically for demanding industrial environments, and that’s exactly what we did.
How We Live Out Having “Better Equipment”
Our team has developed some of the most advanced pre-commissioning and maintenance cleaning equipment on the market, based on sound engineering practices and decades of experience performing air blowing, AquaLazing, chemical cleaning, lube oil flushing, steam blowing and other services.

Air Blowing Equipment
Other air blowing service providers may take an air compressor to a pipeline, pressurize it, release whatever air is currently in the pipeline and call it an air blow. At B&W, we disagree with that definition. We use our proprietary, fully containerized pulse units to remove even the smallest bits of debris from your piping systems. Our specialized air blowing equipment also includes:
- Code-stamped 450 ft3 (12.7 m3) pressure vessels acting as air receivers
- Code-stamped 30 ft3 (0.85 m3) pressure vessels acting as pulse formers
- Safety valves to prevent overpressurization
- Quick-opening valves useful for air blowing on short runs of piping
- All required valves, interconnecting pipe, gauges, controls and fittings fully assembled and ready for operation the moment we arrive at your facility
AquaLazing Equipment
Our AquaLazing equipment can clean up to 1,000 feet of piping ranging from 2 to 120 inches in diameter through a single entry point while navigating various changes in direction. We create minimal disruption to surrounding work activities and minimize water consumption through our:
- High-pressure (15,000 psi) diesel-driven pumps adaptable to any water supply
- 78 dB-rated noise-suppressing containers that hold our pumps
- Advancing devices that control the feed rate necessary to conduct thorough cleaning
- Specially designed high-pressure nozzles
- Wireless remote pump kill switches with a 500-foot range

Chemical Cleaning Equipment
Our in-house engineering team understands the guiding principles of sound chemical cleaning practices, including the use of high-volume fine filtration units and plate-and-frame heat exchangers. Our low-risk chemical cleaning solutions are formulated with the highest-quality materials, earning the trust of notable clients across the world. We also ensure the high safety and quality of our chemical cleaning services through our:
- Usage of hard piping
- High-flow pumps
- Comprehensive analytical testing and verification
- Temporary pipe spools constructed to ASME B31.3 code standards
- Pipe spools fabricated with ANSI B16.5 flanges, virtually eliminating the potential for leaks

Lube Oil Flushing Equipment
Thanks to our specially designed oil flushing equipment, we can perform a high-velocity oil flush in 5-7 days, rather than the average 1-2-month process. Our team and hot oil flushing equipment decrease the risk of introducing contaminants into our clients’ projects through our:
- External pump flushing skids
- High-flow rate filtration systems
- Specialized heat exchangers that cycle lube oil temperatures
- Thorough evaluation of each facility’s systems before flushing
- Comprehensive equipment maintenance program

Steam Blowing Equipment
With one of the largest inventories of both wet and dry steam silencers in the industry, our team can set up 10 silencers simultaneously, allowing us to work on some of the world’s largest and most complex projects. Our dry silencers are designed to vent up to 900,000 lb/hr of steam while maintaining a noise rating of 85 dB or less at 50 feet from the discharging steam. We perform high-quality steam blowing services and significantly reduce water usage associated with traditional silencers through our:
- Zero-discharge water recycling capability
- Temporary pipe spools being fabricated to ASME standards
- Pneumatic high-strength target inserters
- Robust quick-opening steam blow valves
- 100% flow modeling and analysis of each facility’s system
Effective pre-commissioning and maintenance cleaning requires more than expertise—it requires equipment created specifically for the task at hand. Our team continues to invest in designing and improving the systems that support our work in the field, ensuring we can mobilize quickly and operate efficiently wherever our clients need us.
